Our Youth
Alive ! can
be summed up in the........
we are ..........
The
is a ministry of the Emmanuel EFC which comprises of youths aged 13 and
above. We all believe in the one same thing ...... that we are sinners
who deserve death but
who
loved us, came down from heaven to die on the cross for you and me so that
we can be in heaven with Him. We hope to share this gift of love that Jesus
has for us with other youths around us. We have weekly meetings in which
we gather for a time of singing (and dancing!), games, Bible study, talks,
fellowship and lots more.

Our
meetings are held in our church (Emmanuel EFC) building itself. The building
is situated at Wangsa Maju Section 2. Wanna know our address ? It's :

SOMETIMES
we hold our meetings in other places especially when we go for an outing
or visitations to other members' houses. In these type of meetings, we
gather in one of our Advisor's house, Mrs. Chew.
we meet ..........
Our
meetings are held every Saturday, 4.00 p.m. We USUALLY end our meetings
at about 6.00 p.m. - 6.30 p.m. For the meetings held in the church building,
we have different programmes each week. Sometimes we will have talks. Other
times we will have video shows (our latest one was "The Ten Commandments").
We also hold special events like evangelistic meetings and parties.
We sometimes
hold prayer meetings too. These meetings are held, however, mostly on Sundays
at about 11.30 a.m (which is usually after the Sunday's second service
worship session). In these meetings, we pray for matters that pertain to
our upcoming events and also some of our members' needs.
Sometimes
we will hold Committee meetings (in which MOST of the youths will turn
up anyway!) in which we discuss the details of some upcoming events.

Our
aims are basically as follows :
-
To provide
an avenue for the young people to grow spiritually and to be grounded in
the Word of God.
-
To provide
an avenue for the young people to be trianed to reach out to their friends
and the community around us.
-
To help
the young people develop a life based on prayer as a foundation of the
Christian life.
-
To develop
love, concern and care for their friends, youth members, etc.
-
To present
every youth complete in Christ.

In the
book of Hebrews, chapter 10, verses 24 - 25, it says :
" And let us consider how we may
spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting
together , as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one
another - and all the more as you see that Day approcahing."
From these
verses, it can be quite clear that we meet to fellowship with one another,
to encourage one another and also to get to know each other better so that
we may grow strong together in Christ.
